Strength of Card:
Excitement Level: High. The first UFC's show in MMA's "Motherland" since 1998, and with a card packed full of Brazilians, it should make for an electrifying atmosphere.
Who Should Buy This PPV?: Hardcore UFC fans for sure. Casual fans, maybe. Brazilians, definitely.
Projected PPV Buyrate: 500,000
Fight of the Night: Shogun Rua vs Forrest Griffin. Both guys are fan favourites and like to bang, so the fight should be exciting. Plus Shogun will be looking to avenge his previous loss to Forrest.
Best Fight on the Undercard: Rousimar Palhares vs Dan Miller
Best Bet (if you are betting man/woman): Forest Griffin (+201). This is a fight that I would have made a toss up, or maybe have given Rua a slight edge in it. After all, Griffin beat him the first time they fought and Forrest is on a two-fight win streak now. Betting $100 on Griffin to win $201 is a good investment (and if you are able to convince your significant other that gambling is an "investment", kudos to you!).
Win or Go Home: Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. I'm not saying that Minotauro is in risk of being fired if he doesn't beat Brendan Schaub, but he definitely needs a win to prove that he isn't washed up (which I think he is). If he can slay an up-and-comer like Schaub, there might be some life left in Nogueira.
