Nothing makes a MMA fight more exciting than a little good old fashioned bad blood. All the pre-fight hype in the world can't compete with two fighters who truly don't like each other. With a heated rivalry headlining this Saturday's UFC 114, it's the perfect time to count down the five best feuds in MMA today.
1) Frank Mir vs Brock Lesnar

This feud wins hands down. When Frank Mir stated that he wanted to murder Brock Lesnar in the Octagon, this already heated feud got taken to the next level. The bad blood started over two years ago, at UFC 81, when Mir caught an overaggressive Lesnar in a kneebar and made him tap out. Lesnar famously got his revenge at UFC 100, leaving Mir a bloodied pulp then added insult to Mir's injuries by cursing him out after the fight. Mir, hellbent on revenge, made his "murder" comment and the table was set for the rubber match between these two. Unfortunately, Shane Carwin put the (temporary?) kibosh on it by crushing Mir at UFC 111, putting in doubt the possibility of a resolution in the cage of this dispute. Perhaps instead they'll have to set down for a spot of tea to discuss their differences.
2) Rampage Jackson vs Rashad Evans
The only thing keeping this heated feud out of the top spot is a death threat. Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson and Rashad Evans truly, deeply despise each other, leading to memorable verbal confrontations. And it looked like the chances of these two settling things in the cage were slim, just like Mir and Lesnar, after Jackson backed out of his match with Evans at the end of The Ultimate Fighter 10 to instead go Hollywood and star in The A-Team movie. But, luckily, Rampage came back to the fold and their fight on Saturday night is the only thing making an otherwise weak UFC 114 a must-see event.
3) Tito Ortiz vs Chuck Liddell

Not so surprisingly, this feud isn't going to be settled in the Octagon. Viewers of The Ultimate Fighter 11 tonight will find out a not-so well kept secret - Tito Ortiz is backing out of his match versus Chuck Liddell at UFC 115. But this probably only intensifies this rivalry, as The Iceman has always accused Ortiz of dodging him. Even if they never meet again in the cage, the bad blood between these two will probably be something they bring to their graves.
4) UFC vs Strikeforce
This has only become a feud because Dana White has allowed it to be. If the UFC boss would just keep his mouth shut about Strikeforce, this rivalry would be a moot point. But since White continually slams Strikeforce in the press, runs counter programming against it and openly woos its fighters, he is acknowledging the fledgling MMA promotion as a threat to the UFC. And considering Strikeforce signed Dan Henderson away from the UFC and won the Fedor Emelianenko war, perhaps this really is a legitimate feud.
5) Alistair Overeem vs Fedor Emelianenko
This is an odd feud, as it really isn't Alistair Overeem versus Fedor Emelianenko, but rather Overeem versus Emelianenko's management team. With the Russians accusing Overeem of steroid/PED use and the Dutch fighter accusing them of avoiding him in the cage, this feud is picking up steam by the day. But will the two fighers ever trade blows?
